St Jude Hospital, Vieux Fort is the second-largest public hospital in St Lucia. In September 2009, a fire broke out damaging the entire surgical wing and displacing over 40 patients.

In support, Friends of the Commonwealth and Young Diplomats in London (YDL) organised a fundraiser, Caribbean Connection.
 

This mini carnial, held at Marlborough House raised £ 1000 for the hospital to use towards medicines, medical supplies or health care equipment.
