Commonwealth Associations

Are you a professional who would like to meet others working in your field?

There are Commonwealth organisations for many professions and sectors, including education, health, culture and law.

These ‘Commonwealth Associations’ are accredited to the Commonwealth, meaning they can access support for their projects and have consultative status within the Commonwealth.

Commonwealth professional associations are mainly membership organisations who undertake a variety of activities such as scholarships, networking opportunities, up-to-date information, and opportunities to influence policy-makers at ministerial meetings. They work across the Commonwealth, in at least 25 countries, and therefore provide unique support or opportunities.

Examples of Commonwealth organisations you can become involved with include:

  • The Association of Commonwealth Archivists and Record Managers
  • The Commonwealth Engineers Council
  • The Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth
  • The Commonwealth Organisation for Social Work

There are almost 100 others in fields such as teaching, medicine or media.
