Commonwealth Connections is the Commonwealth Foundation's international arts residencies scheme. Formerly the Commonwealth Arts and Crafts Awards, the scheme was relaunched in 2009 to open it out to encompass a wider range of artforms.

Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) Awards
The CBA Awards, held annually, celebrate excellence in broad- casting and provide international recognition for the best work in the field. These include:
  • Amnesty International Award for Human Rights Programme
  • One World Media Award for the Best Programme produced in a Developing Country
  • Thomson Foundation Journalist of the Year Award
  • UNESCO Award for Science Reporting & Programming
  • World Bank Award for a programme covering Development Success

Commonwealth Essay Competition
Every year, the Commonwealth Essay Competition inspires thousands of young writers from all over the world. Organised by the RCS, this international youth writing contest has been running for over 100 years.
 
 
The Commonwealth Short Story Competition is an annual scheme to promote new creative writing for radio, funded and administered by the Commonwealth Foundation and the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association.

 
The Prize aims to discover and promote up and coming and under-recognised writers, encourage dialogue and understanding of different cultures through reading, and share compelling stories of human experience.

 
 Photographic Commonwealth Photographic Awards
The only Photographic Prize of its kind reaching every country in the Commonwealth, the Photographic Awards has been running since the 1990s and has drawn together hundreds of young photojournalists and photographers every year.

 
 Video/Film
Commonwealth Video Contest / Your Commonwealth
YourCommonwealth.org is a unique project organised by the Commonwealth Secretariat to collect together videos from people across all regions of the Commonwealth.
